Out of the 217 high schools listed in Nevada, it is ranked 11th. The school contains many credit classes through truckee community college and other sights that help students prepare for college, especially our local university or Reno. The school also contains qualified teachers with classes such as APs and STEM electives that prepare students. The biodiversity and school culture could use some improving but I believe that is because of our almost secluded and small town.
Incline High School is a very small school in the mountains of Lake Tahoe. Because it is the only school in Incline Village, all the kids attend it and that means it is very connected school. All the students have grown up with each other and developed a strong bond but also greatly appreciate students who transfer. The teachers and administration at Incline High School do an excellent job of exercising this bond by organizing events around the small town that all the students can attend.
Since, it is a small school the sports program is amazing in that almost everyone makes the team regardless of skill which allows students to explore new activities and remain active. Despite having a limited amount of athletes, the sports program always excel having a least one team winning a state championship in all four years that I spent there. The population at IHS is about 60% Caucasian , 35% Hispanic, and the remaining 5% African American and Asian. However, everyone gets along.
