They lack opportunities but the teachers are kind and patient. The students are very diverse, what I mean, you will run into amazing or obnoxious people.
The Impact Academy community is incredibly caring and willing to support students to far extents! The teachers genuinely want the best for their students and their futures.
This school is very good, the teachers that work there care about the students. They care not only about their education but also how they are doing in their personal life. All the staff in the school take the time to get to know the students & build relationships with them. This school’s goal is to get their students prepared for college & understand the options that they have. They teach you life lessons that you will need when you finish high school & step into the real world. The relationship that you build at this school will stick with you for a very long time. The community is so strong & close, they really do care for each other. All the staff are very patient & understanding. The teacher’s & their lessons are great & they know that not everyone learns the same which is a really good thing because they provide different strategies. The school has events for students which bring the community closer together & it allows the students to have fun & de-stress.
For being a small and rather scarcely funded school, it has been solid for the most part in the years where I have attended. The small size allowed the staff, teachers, and students to know each other to a more personal level and helped create a web of support for anyone that needs it. The focus of teamwork and communication skills helps prepare its students for the outside world which emphasized in cooperation. This also resulted in a strong culture to develop within the classes that develops bonds between individuals both in and out of school.
I love the safe and welcoming environment they have, all the teachers are very easy to talk to. I really love how they always put their students needs first and always focus on trying to better the students experience at their school. One thing that makes them stand out is their ability to teach their students the importance of competency skills and how to utilize them because they’ve been so helpful in and outside of school.
Teachers really connect with the students, they prepare students well for college, and overall it's a good school with a welcoming environment.
Impact Academy of Arts and Technology prepared me for college, it helped me figure out what I wanted to major in and what college I wanted to attend to. Every teacher there wanted me to succeed and helped me push myself to achieve any goal I had set in mind. Impact Academy has great teachers and this school has absolutely no room for discrimination. Going to charter school meant that the population of students would be less than public schools and I was okay with that because my community felt like a family. Teachers made it their priority to help students out if they didn’t know what college to attend or what to major in. Going to Impact Academy prepared me for the real world. I am more confident than ever to start my college career at San Jose state university. My high school gave me an advantage I wish every student around the world could experience.
I wish Impact had more school spirit. There is not a lot of opportunities at Impact for the average student. However, it is strong in its foundation to support black and brown students and end white supremacy. Impact's teachers are also excellent and teach in a specific way that allows students to become very comfortable with public speaking.
Impact academy is a great school that offers lots of support for the students. Even with the pandemic teachers are trying their best to make sure students don't fall behind. though it does have it's flaws, for example the building itself isn't the best and there aren't any lockers but at least they don't give us heavy text books to carry around and most teacher will let you store your binder in their classes. school lunches are okay but they do give the seniors and i think juniors have off campus lunch but the lower division students don't have that unless they get an off campus lunch pass from a teacher or admin. the sport that impact offers are pretty good too, for example they have base ball (for boys), basket ball (for both boys and girls), soccer (for girls), flag football(for boys), cross country(co ed) and more but i don't remember some of them.
This school is on top of the students and advocate constantly how important it is to go to college. They do everything they possibly can to get the students college-ready. This school helped me in doing better and really pushed me to do the best I possibly can. I would probably be failing my classes if it weren't for all the support the faculty give to the students. They try their hardest to help every student be as successful as they possibly can.
Impact Academy was a great school. It had only 500 students at the time I was there. The teachers were really focused on wanting their students to succeed and made time for us after school if we needed it. The classes were always very engaging and I think helped me prepare for college. I recommend.
I like how the classes are small so the teacher has more opportunity to help each student. I would like to see changes in the classes I think there should be more extra electives so students can be able to learn more different things.
The school does a very good job at preparing students for college. The staff is friendly and approachable. The school is small but there is a sense of community between the students and staff.
Its a really good school. And easy to make friends. If you need help the teachers are always there to help. This school helps students get ready to go to college and helps them by talking about requirements needed to get to college.
My personal experience going to to Impact has overall gone very well. The teachers are amazing people and you can tell that they care about you and your learning. The projects certainly prepare you for public speaking and is all about preparing you for college. Something that I would like to see in the school are more classes and options to choose these classes as the classes are chosen for you and there is no variety of classes.
I really enjoyed attending Impact, the staff was really amazing! The teachers really took their time to connect with the students and make sure to get that one on one with them. I also really appreciated the amount of help and resources provided to students throughout all of senior year with college apps and fafsa applications.
My overall experience at Impact Academy has been a roller coaster of experiences and emotions. Impact Academy School of Arts and Technology is a small diverse school which makes it hard for students to accommodate to. New teachers hired is a change which is also hard for students to adjust to. Majority of students who attend Impact Academy will say they have had a bad experience because of it but in my case it's different. Teachers working at Impact Academy might be new but they are committed and dedicated at their jobs. All teachers teach in different ways in order for students to understand and learn since all students are unique. At the beginning it was hard to get used to but once I did get used to it I saw myself growing a person both intellectually and personally.
