I am an alumni. Immanuel is great in many ways and there are many reviews where you can read about the positives. However, objectively Immanuel does not prepare students well to take the ACT or SAT and their average scores reflect that. If your goal is to attend high tier public university, Immanuel is not the place for you. In my class of around 70 students, 3 students went to a UC or high rated CSU and I can say that we were not prepared at all academically, it also took our own research and lots of effort to get the scores needed to get in. Another place Immanuel falls very short is student advising, unfortunately they do not want kids to go to public university’s as they believe that the kids will become heathens, so instead they push kids to go to private Christian universities. On average, about 40% of the students will attend a CC and flunk out, 40% will attend some type of Christian university (most likely GCU) and the rest either go to Fresno State or no college at all.
it’s an amazing school. everyone there puts God first and the teachers are awesome. they have a lot of class options and it’s a christian private school
We are so thankful to be a part of the Immanuel community! It's easy to see the joy the teachers have for what they do. They seek to know and come alongside their students. We have also been impressed with the integrity and hearts to serve that the administration has shown. Our kids are thriving at Immanuel.
I was a new student to Immanuel and was immediately greeted with open arms from the very first day. The students are inclusive and build each other up. One of the greatest opportunities we have is to be able to freely worship God on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The teachers here truly strive to help each and every student to do their best. Not only are they open to help you school wise as well as being mentors. I am very grateful that God has led me to this great community.
I am a parent and an Alum of Immanuel Schools. My daughter's (1 graduate and one in High School) have flourished at Immanuel. The leadership, teachers and staff truly care about the students. We love the Christ-centered approach to education and believe that enrolling our kids was the best decision we could have made for them. In today's world, having a school take a stand in support of Christian values and fight for parent choice is invaluable.
I attended Immanuel for over 8 years. The christian experience is the best thing at this high school. The teachers are under paid and often don’t have the credentials to teach the classes they end up teaching. The sports facilities are the other best thing at this school. Even though the sports facilities are nice, the sports coaches are biased in who they play, as well as who makes the team. Everything at Immanuel is based around the Immanuel board, and the board members children. These children are often treated better than other students, given a starting position, and looked at as better than other students. It is completely unfair. Overall Immanuel is overpriced and doesn’t necessarily have a majority of christian-like students who attend.
at immanuel schools, there is nothing at this school that is special. there is no preparation for college and when help is needed when any subjects, teachers usually choose favorite and refrain from helping the ones who are truly in need. there are definitely racial indifferences and inequalities at this school.
Super great school! As a student, it’s been great to be at Immanuel because Christ really is the center of our foundation and the community is great. I have a personal relationship with all my teachers and have had numerous opportunities to grow personally, professionally, and spiritually.
This is an excellent school with caring teachers, rigorous courses, and a connected student culture. This school helps to equip young men and women with a Christ centered foundation that will guide them through life.
It’s a great school if you are looking for a close knit community of kind families. I have personally found it easy to make friends and connect to peers in other classes. Academics and the Arts are a big part of the school culture
We have all 4 of our girls at Immanuel, this is our 5th year with them enrolled. They all love their teachers, have made wonderful friends and daily grow in their walk with the Lord. They come home telling us what they learned in Bible class, new worship songs they sang in chapel, or how they got to lead their class in prayer. Seeing them develop into Godly young ladies who desire to learn is such a blessing to us. We are so glad we decided to have them attend Immanuel.
We are new to Immanuel this year and love it! Strong leadership, excellent teachers and staff, and an amazing Christian community. They offer so many experiences outside of their learning in the classroom - students leading chapel, Ag Literacy Day, after school clubs, and fun school/community events! My kids love their new school!
Immanuel has invested in both my academic and spiritual development. The mentoring received by teachers has been invaluable.
Immanuel Schools continually fluctuates between mediocre and quite good. They definitely struggle with keeping good and qualified teachers; for example, one year they had a completely unqualified and unmotivated sports medication/health teacher instruct an AP Biology class. On the flip side, their sports teams can be pretty good depending on the student athletes. Their performing arts have always been incredible, and their musicals are some of the best high school performances in the Central Valley.
Immanuel Schools is unique because it is a Christ centered school. The goal of the Immanuel is to honor God and help grow and develop students relationship with The Lord. it creates an atmosphere of authenticity and vulnerability that is often unheard of in the public school system. the relationships that students make with the teaches, faculty, and fellow students often are lifelong bonds that are connected not only through common experience but through Christ.
Great school but it’s still school. Kid are kids. School is school. Overall chapel is one of the things I love and cherish every Tuesday and Thursday Immanuel has helped me so much and made grow into a great person, yes there are struggles but staff and teachers always let you know you’re not alone and even offers a half an hour tutorial for practice and help on learning ! Everything is basically done online but some on paper! Teachers Teaches us great lessons and the plays and music are wonderful! Lunch is amazing we have subway on Thursday and pizza on Friday and if your kid forgets they’re cash it’s okay! You can have a card where they can just say they’re name And show they’re school ID and it will charge that card! Great academic wise and spiritually !! I highly recommend this school!!
It’s a great school and I love that we get to worship God freely. It’s pretty small so you get to know the teachers well.
