All teachers and staff are loving and caring and push the students to achieve to their fullest potential.

The high school is very regimented (i.e. uniforms, students must leave spaces clean, very few decorations). However, most of the teachers and staff are very kind, helpful, qualified, and love Christ. The student body is definitely split between Christians and decidedly non-Christians, as is probably the case at most Christian schools. There’s also a good mix of high-achievers and people who don’t care. Because it’s a really small school you will gain a reputation very quickly, among students and staff. Travelterm is definitely one of the highlights - the school takes trips to places like England, Israel, Italy, etc. (we don’t talk about Texas).

ICS provides students with a well rounded Christian based education. Students are able to build personal relationships with their teachers and peers based on the size of the student body. The school emphasizes the importance of travel, hard work, and developing a relationship with Christ.

I like the community. The teachers are very encouraging and helpful. On the other hand, I hate the food and the stairs.

Immanuel Christian School has a very supporting facility and staff. The academics are Christ centered learning to prepare you for the future and “inspiring purposeful lives”.

Amazing staff and facilities! The new high school building is beautiful. Exciting things are happening at ICS and ICHS!

Two of my children started at ICHS this past fall, transferring from Fairfax County Public schools. We couldn't be happier! They do find the academics more challenging than public school. My eleventh grader noted that the teachers really have time not just to teach, but make sure that you understand the material. My ninth grader does not get "forgotten" as he did at the public school where we would not know there was a problem until his report card came two weeks after the quarter ended. It is reassuring that they are in a Christian, caring environment, that they are challenged to meet and exceed academic expectations, and that they come home excited to let us know what they are learning about. We ended up enrolling our youngest child this semester because of the excellent education we did not want her to miss out on.

Immanuel is a wonderful school! I haven’t been at the school for very long, but it already feels like a part of my family. The small aspect of the school makes the environment less stressful and more inviting. The teachers and the faculty do such a good job at preparing us for college and for the future beyond that. If you are looking for a school that encourages the morals of your child, this school is great because we hear about the word of God everyday and get to learn how respond to others who do not share our beliefs. Immanuel may be stressful at times, but there is a large community to help you through. I am so glad that I came to ICHS this year! It has been a great experience and one that I will always remember.

Immanuel Christian School is a great place to send your kids! The teachers and administrators are wonderful. It is evident that they all deeply care for the students. The teachers use the latest technology like iPads, laptops, and SmartBoards in the classroom. They also strive to meet the needs of all students regardless of the student's academic level- the teachers really meet the students where each child is at. ICS has a great educational resource team as well so students who need extra support are able to be successful in the classroom.

I've had my two kids at ICS for over 6 years now and the one thing I can say for certain is that I know my kids are in a safe, loving environment every time they step foot in the school. I have full faith and confidence that the faculty and staff are godly people who are looking out for my children and their well being first and foremost.

We have attended ICS for 4 years now and there is no other place I would want my children to go to school. The teachers are very creative in teaching the kids so things don’t get boring. When there are conflicts, the teachers draw on their Biblical knowledge and use it to show the kids how God’s Word can be applied to help them resolve issues between each other. ICS constantly reviews their curriculum and adjusts things to make sure their teaching is rigorous, yet appropriate. The Bible teacher does a fabulous job engaging the kids and helping them memorize their verses each week. The kids also learn how to serve their community and be the hands and feet of Christ. In the fall each grade has a community project to learn how to serve others. They begin with projects on campus and as the kids get older they move off campus for their projects. In addition to that, once a month they go out and help the community in different ways, such as tutoring other kids or visiting seniors.

We just can't say enough about this wonderful school. ICS provides a top-notch education, exceptional teachers and support staff, a faith-based curriculum, a welcoming group of peers, and a safe and nurturing environment for our children. Having spent the first four years of elementary school in a very good public school system, our kids already had a solid education base to build upon. Since their arrival at ICS this year, however, we've been amazed at how quickly they've outpaced the previous curriculum, while also building warm relationships with their new teachers and fellow students. We are so happy that we found ICS, and we are so grateful to the God-fearing teachers, parents, and students who make it so special!
