Immaculate Heart has given me a platform to explore and broaden my interests. I have had the opportunity to gain knowledge from both my teachers and my peers. Being able to be surrounded by a community of strong, independent women has greatly impacted the way I view the world. I have become a more outspoken leader within my community as a result of my education at Immaculate Heart. I think that the most valuable thing this school has to offer is the power given to young women. I have become a more confident person because of the teachers, curriculum, and students at Immaculate Heart.
I just graduated from Immaculate Heart and I am so grateful to have spent the past 4 years there. Going to an all girls school, especially one that encourages curiosity and leadership, has prepared me for entering male-dominated spaces.
We have lively discussions in class, weaving in politics with pop culture. We apply Catholic Social Teaching from Theology to serving the greater community. We dance our hearts out at Mary’s Day, surrounded by the art we spend months creating. It’s the knowing smiles exchanged, passing each other near the lockers and the relieved laughter with friends in the courtyard following long tests.
Along with the big tradition days, (Welcome Day is forever my favorite) the everyday moments, such as singing the alma mater after pep rallies and hitting volleyballs on the quad at lunch, make the school special.
Most of all, I am grateful for all the incredible teachers who are dedicated not only to our learning, but to our entire wellbeing.

Great view but closure within the community and alongside of great and excellent teachers and staff that support your need in education to succeed in your future self.
I recently graduated from IH. I was a proud panda at the middle school and high school, and my experience at IH was one that I would not trade for the world.
Although in the heart of Hollywood, IH felt like a safe haven for higher education. I constantly felt challenged academically, but not in a toxic manner. Healthy competition was present among students, both in terms of learning and athletics. IH truly shines in its art department (visual and performance).
The teachers at IH are unparalleled. I keep in contact with a few of my teachers and I will never forget the information and morals they instilled in me. Teachers want and make an effort to connect with students, that is something incredibly special.
In terms of theology, IH makes the subject approachable for all students. Whether Catholic, Jewish, Atheist, etc., IH students are encouraged to learn about and participate in religious events. I never felt uncomfortable in a religious setting.
IH is an amazing school!

IH is an amazing school!
I went to HS at Immaculate Heart. My 9th and 10th grade years were affected by the covid lockdown - for me the school did a good job during this time. I felt academically challenged but also supported by the faculty. I was accepted at highly respected liberal arts college upon graduation. I will say the school is unnecessarily strict on policies regarding uniform and attire. In retrospect I wish they had more AP classes. My most memorable times at IHHS were while participating on the debate team. The debate team is a well supported and growing discipline at IH. Should I ever have the opportunity to one day send daughters of my own I would not hesitate to end them to IHHS.
My daughter just graduated from the middle school and she loved it. She has the most wonderful, meaningful and supportive group of friends. It’s a sisterhood that you really can’t find anywhere else. IH is a special place!
I think that IH is a great place. It has its downsides just like everywhere else, but I am genuinely very happy there and I couldn't imagine going anywhere else.
I absolutely love it here!! I am currently a senior and I could not have been more happier with my choice of school. The community here is like no other. Every faculty member is willing to help you succeed and every student is very supportive.
Immaculate Heart is a great school and an incredible community full of brave, smart, empathetic students and educators. As a graduate of the high school, I can confidently say that this community supports young people and provides safe spaces for students to speak freely and learn from teachers as well as each other. By the time I was graduating, I had grown very close with my classmates and teachers who were an integral part of my education and growth as a young person. I feel very fortunate to have attended Immaculate Heart High School and I strongly recommend it to students who are passionate about learning and engaging in the world.
I am a recent graduate of Immaculate Heart (Class of 2022), and I am so grateful for my four years here. IH is a welcoming and diverse environment, which included academic rigor and time-withstanding traditions, like Welcome or Mary’s Day. The teachers, counselors, administrators, and students are constantly supporting, uplifting, and most importantly, challenging one another. The teachers are intelligent, accessible, and patient. They encourage students to ask questions and articulate their opinions, which creates a very safe atmosphere for students, both timid and outgoing.
To me, one of the most valuable parts of the school is its community. IH builds a family that doesn’t end after graduation. I have made some of my closest friendships at IH, which I know will last a lifetime. I also know IH has an arsenal of involved alumni who eagerly give back with the hopes that current students will enjoy the same IH experience that they had.

My daughter has attended Immaculate Heart High School for the last three years. I have found the school to be the perfect fit for her, she has incredible teachers who challenge and engage the students. They set high expectations, but provide support to help students attain their individual goals. The counselors and administration are wonderful and have provided unwavering support to our daughter. I can't recommend highly enough.
I am a current HS student and an MS graduate. I am heavily involved in my school community. I love Immaculate Heart. The school promotes the educational excellence of all students through its incredibly qualified faculty and rigorous academics. This college preparatory school constantly challenges traditional education by involving world events in the curriculum and fostering engaging seminar discussions in all classes! Outside of the classroom, the communal aspect of the school is what sets Immaculate Heart apart from other college prep schools. Athletics, Arts (both visual and performing), and connection to our alumni make Immaculate Heart such a unique school and community. The religious aspect of the school does contribute heavily to the education but is very inclusive of all faiths and belief systems. As a non-religious student, I have never felt pressure from peers or teachers to be anyone but myself. The involvement of faith at IH has expanded my worldview in a beautiful way.
Such a beautiful campus. The IH community is so closely knit. You will meet your friends for life here. School introduces you to so many resources and broadens your future. This school produces smart, brave, ambitious, and kind girls.
Immaculate Heart was good at the start but my daughter received lots of bullying at this school. The class sizes were larger than they said they were going to be, and I was upset with the way they taught. My daughter always had lots of homework each night.
We are so grateful to have found IH. My daughter is thriving at the middle school where she’s challenged and excited about learning. They pivoted to on line school without a hitch- tho we are so happy to be back on the beautiful campus.
As a result of her education at Immaculate Heart, my daughter was very well prepared for college. The faculty is excellent - engaging & responsive to each student's needs. Math, Science, Social Sciences & the Arts are all alive at this school. It has a strong faith filled community & is accepting of all. The campus is a precious jewel in the middle of the Hollywood area.
I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high quality education in the Los Angeles Area.

I love the school. The school provides an incredible education for the students in attendance. A historic and fine place of education that has a history of supporting the rights of students that attend and helping the community.
I went to IH from 6th-12th grade and graduated almost 10 years ago. I credit much of my life’s (both personal and professional) success to this school. I learned not just what in needed to class but how to stand up for myself and present myself in the real world. I was over prepared for college while many of my peers were behind. I hope to send my daughter here if I have children.
The most outstanding feature about Immaculate Heart is the welcoming sense of community. I have never encountered such an accepting and community-prioritized school. One of my favorite features of Immaculate Heart is how the community is unafraid to speak up for social justice issues. For example, during the George Floyd period, Immaculate Heart held countless presentations, seminars, and film showings. They demonstarted their compassion and humanity by standing up for what is right.
I have been an immaculate heart student for nearly 7 years. It has helped me to become a better woman, student, and person. While it does have it shortcomings, the school's unique community makes up for it through sister/siblinghood.
