Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy Reviews
One major category where IMSA falls short is diversity of thought. While IMSA as an institution makes an effort to promote diversity, the institution does little to nothing to encourage diverse political views being expressed on campus, and often ignores cases of harassment against people who do not follow the mainstream political view on campus, while being very aggressive about discipline, whether warranted or not, against people of those political views which are not mainstream. The administration also tends to make decisions without consulting the wishes of the community, which leads to a lot of friction with the community.
Overall IMSA is enjoyable, but those flaws need to be addressed before I can give any more than 3 stars.
If I could change anything about IMSA it would be to improve better inclusion of teacher preparation for student extended so that academic workload is better balanced. Additionally, I would like to make certain social programs optional as they can interfere with vital study time.
