Very good teachers for a small school! I love the dual credit classes offered in conjunction with the local junior college and hope to graduate highschool with 2 years worth of college credit at a discounted price.
The sports and music programs are good as well. The PE teachers and sports coaches there really care about the kids and put in lots of extra time to help them out anyway they can. I would recommend this school, as you are not just a number. Everyone knows your name.

The sports are great! The teachers all just want the best for you and help you meet any needs your wanting to accomplish, the band department is great! Everyone is so nice and respectful and there’s never a dull moment and class is always fun and hands on. The school helps you when things at home aren’t so good and they’re flexible when days are bad and just an all around good school to attend
Illini West provided a close-knit environment, this was good for ensuring that students did not get left behind. However, the small size also made it difficult for advanced students because there were not any honors programs or anything along those lines. I liked the fact that they offered a Learning Center for students who needed to take things at their own pace.
