I grew up around this teaching. Illiana's Academics are great, but nothing more than the surrounding Indiana HS, just at a whopping cost. They don't hide their teachings of the interpretations of Canons of Dort, Heidelberg, Belgic Confessions and Calvinism, but they don't highlight it either. Many families enter w the impression that their children will be taught Biblical TRUTH, and sadly those that follow & teach are deceived. The purpose of sending your child to a "Christian" School is for quality of Education & Biblical TRUTH. If you're considering a faith based school make sure you understand the teaching COMPLETELY. In Calvinism your child will NOT get the opportunity for SALVATION if not been pre-elected! I give 5-Stars for the structure & Academics (as I do Lake Central), 4-Stars for Staff/Educators (friendly, but deceived), 2-Stars for Diversity (they stick together) & 0-Stars for TRUTH (Calvinism is NOT Truth).

The building is really nice, staff and teachers are nice, the academics are good, but the religious class was very weird, not the Bible teaching I no to be true. There's no diversity in the teachers and very little diversity in the students. The white kids hang together and the few black kids hang together. They do accept all who can pay the tuition from all faith and all races, but it's obvious that if you are not from the Reformed Dutch Calvin church they really don't accept you. The name of the school could be misleading and should be named "The Illiana Reformed High School of Calvinism". This John Calvin is not even mentioned in the Bible!
Good eduction, nice people, but not all genuine. The diversity in Christian doctrine & ethic groups within students and teachers are very poor. The teachers are all white and many Dutch. The Dutch reformed Christians really go out of their way to keep themselves separate from other Christians.

Calvinism is John Calvin's understanding and explanation of how God works. It's impossible, no man can know all there is to know about God. We should follow God, not man!
