As a rising college freshman, I can be the one to say that this school is great in certain criterias. It is a school that has many resources for those interested in the medical/health field and it makes sense because it is a medical/health/science focused school! Attending here made me become more independent in the sense that you have to reach out to teachers and staff to receive help. Overall, they have great partnerships which will help those interested in the fields above but even if you are not interested in those fields they leave room for other opportunities. It is through those opportunities that I have grown as a student and as a person.

Teachers at this school were very different as what I expected. Going into high school I had older friends that would share their high school experience as frustrating and overall lackluster. They would tell me that their teachers did not care about anything and that they would pick on everybody for not knowing anything. My teachers in high school, however were great! They showed that they truly cared about every single student. They did care about grades but most importantly, they cared about one's knowledge. They made sure that we learned everything they taught, not just memorizing it. They took time to get to know everyone personally and that created a strong bond between them and us students. That's why they were great and impacted my life in such an immense way.
As a junior in IHSCA, for the past 3 years, my experience has been great. The students, teachers, and staff are very friendly here. There are many classes that we take throughout the years. There are classes that prepare you for college like AP and AVID classes. We have clubs and programs that are open for students and parents. The food here can be improved. I’ve met new and old friends here,I have learned things, and have recieved opportunities for my well being, which is great.
