Idea Walzem College Preparatory Reviews
Rating 4.1 out of 5 21 reviews
My experience at Idea Walzem was fairly great! My teachers were always there to provide endless support and make sure that I was on top of things no matter the circumstances, and I wasn’t just a number there. However, for future students, I would like to see more variety in the AP classes they can take. I know that CollegeBoard plans to release several new AP classes, but seeing classes like AP Psychology and such would be awesome in the future. Allowing IDEA students to take more AP classes geared towards their majors in the future will greatly help them! Overall, I think Idea Walzem is a great, comforting, and safe environment, but having some academic variety would be amazing for the future graduating classes.
We are new to IDEA Walzem College Prep and we are amazed at the personalized attention that teachers, staff and leadership provide to the students. We were totally not used to this, and we love it! We feel our kids are not just a number here. I recommend it without any reservations.
Idea Walzem has been a great school. Before IDEA, I was at a regular public school and my grades were so so low. Once I got to Idea, I did realize that it was more strict, but my grades were better. Idea has set me up for success now that I am a senior and applying for colleges. The college counselors are so helpful when it comes to making sure I get to and through college. However, one thing I would like to change about my school or school in general, is the teachers that are hired. Some teachers don't do the best job at making sure students understand the lesson or feel comfortable around them. All in all, I've had a great time at Idea and am glad I transferred here.
