I enjoyed my first few years of middle school as the principal was really good on keeping up with the academics and how the school was run. Since I started high school there, it started going downhill as new principals came in and they were more focused on attendance than they type of learning that was going on. Now that I have graduated, I have heard such things that it went down horribly. When it first opened, they used to have a strict no phone and no makeup policy but now there are students with a full face of makeup and they are on their phones in class.
I like how Idea prepares me for any problems I might face in college and any problems I may have for applying to my school of choice. Idea gives me the education I need to get into the college I wish to attend.
Here at Idea Monterrey park teacher are willing to do anything for students education no matter the cost, race, or status. The one thing that I would change having a variety of extra curriculars.
Great school the teachers make the environment of learning fun while educational the downside is the lack of school spirit ive been at Idea monterrery since 2018 ever since then the school spirit has gone down hill including the structure of administration.
Strips you from a regular highschooler experience, but if you want to go to college 100%, this feels like it's the best way to get there. Idea is focused specifically to college acceptance; you'll have no problem getting what you need for readiness. however, there are a few issues regarding strict rules and uniform.
It is a very good school to prepare you for college. Although they aren't very good with safety of the kids and do not have any management. Overall though the teachers and students are all very great.
This school i great, they get your child ready for college. The teachers are awesome. I love the fact that they use uniforms so that way all children look the same and don't have to worry about labels or brands. The school food could be better. But as of now I don't have any other issues. I would recommend Idea Public Schools to any parents.
Idea monterrey park has really good teachers who have great skills put they have a poor administration and lack of extracurriculars
Idea Monterrey park allowed for me to get ready to face the real world as well as made me self aware at the fact that I need to be pushed to succeed in class.
I like the dedication our staff members show us when applying to colleges and host events for us this year to make up the past year school year with covid and trying their hardest to make our campus a fun interactive campus.
The school itself is fine. The staff especially administration only care about themselves and the numbers students give them. Students are never heard in any way.
At IDEA Monterrey Park the teachers and students are a family. The teachers are really able to connect with the students, in other words build a relationship with each other. The academics at this school is amazing we are able to take AP courses that are paid and ACT test that are free too. I am a senior now and thinking about it I had had a whole lot of fun here and learned (obviously) a lot.
I especially love this school's work ethic and drive for academics and college preparation. There is an established culture that most follow, and teachers actually care about student achievements and overall academic success. However, one problem that seems to remain constant is a lack of effective administrative communication, which often leads to a relative prevalence of disorganization. Also, in my personal opinion, there is not a satisfactory variety of electives concerning the arts, specifically music.
there are racists teachers here. this school is always unorganized and teachers act like they rule everyone. we cant even talk on the bus, on a field trip. we had to study. this school is like a prison. thank you for reading this and please think before coming here
