Idea Monterrey Park College Preparatory Reviews
Rating 3.65 out of 5 17 reviews
I enjoyed my first few years of middle school as the principal was really good on keeping up with the academics and how the school was run. Since I started high school there, it started going downhill as new principals came in and they were more focused on attendance than they type of learning that was going on. Now that I have graduated, I have heard such things that it went down horribly. When it first opened, they used to have a strict no phone and no makeup policy but now there are students with a full face of makeup and they are on their phones in class.
I am currently a high school junior, and have attended this school since 6th grade. My experience with this school has been mixed, as most of my school years have been filled with incompetent teachers or teachers that quit, but that doesnt mean that they are all bad. I have still had an abundance of teachers that were actually able to teach me something valuable, things I still use today. I have had encouraging teachers that push me to be the best I can be. Teachers that make it fun to learn, and get the students more involved in their education. While not very often, there is still a teacher that is able to teach.
My experience at Idea Monterrey overall has been very good. The teachers at Idea are truly committed to helping students reach their true potential and care about their success. Academically, Idea is committed to preparing students for college by offering AP classes and giving them a head start.
