IDEA College Prep- Pharr has a tendency to withstand itself amongst their amazing cultural camps and values. The school's work ethnic is amazing, alumni work daily with the help of the teachers. Teachers and Staff are there motivating and encouraging students to always strive for the top. However, like any other school IDEA Pharr has its downsides. For instance, throughout my time in the campus the biggest rant and commotion among alumni is the lack of extra curricular activities. The school offers Soccer, Basketball, Track, Cross- Country, and Volleyball, recently they added Cheerleading, this be amazing for athletic students but what about the ones who strive for intellect. The school doesn't have UIL, which is an amazing elective for college resumes, including the fact that UIL offers multiple clubs like Mathematics, Spelling- Bee, and Writing. If the campus was to implement more extra curriculars, both the athletics and intellect students would be able to persevere together.
I was in Idea since 3rd grade. The School supports the students a lot and the they strive for each student to get into college with them helping you in every step of the process. I rarely had any bad experiences personally.
The education is Great over all but they drain you out so much with exames and classes that you don’t get to enjoy your high school experience
It is a good school but unfortunately we are kind of struggling with money because we cant pay for major events but there's a lot of fundraisers
One thing that i like about IDEA College Prep is that they offer multiple AP courses. I believe that these courses will better prepare me for college and guide me through the long run. Something that i really believe should change about my school is their sports funding. We have never had a gym.Out cafeteria serves as a gym, lunch room, and event place. Our school should focus on bettering this in order to have a better high school experience for incoming generations. In addition, my school should have the option of taking dual enrollment classes for those who are interested. Dual enrollment classes, like AP courses, will prepare students and allot for more credits. Overall, my experience at IDEA has been both overwhelming and beneficial. I know that all the work they assign us will pay off in all of my graduating class’ futures.
With 100% college acceptances year round, this school offers the best of both private and public schools. Fully paid classes and advanced studies allow students to reach their full potential.
Very opportunistic and the fact that the high school counselors help you in the college submissions is very relieving because not very high school does that.
Idea Pharr college prep is a very excellent school where everyone is always on task to having a better future. Although, I do think that this school could use some changes within the freedom of students I believe this school can be great for many students to study at.
IDEA is really friendly and will make sure that you get accepted to college and finish your college. Counselors are always there to support you and help you.
Excellent teachers, friendly environment! There's a lot of AP classes offered for high school students and teachers help students in order to be prepared for college.
This school helps you prepare for a successful college career and they will keep you on track to achieve your academic goals.
To begin with, when I first entered Idea Pharr as a 6th grader, I was so scared and nervous about a new environment. However, my involvement in sports quickly helped me make friends and have motivation to do my very best in school. Through out middle school, I participated in volleyball, basketball, and soccer in which in many occasions we won district champs. Furthermore, when I entered high school I decided to enter the cross country team and it was the best thing I could've done. My teammates were more than just teammates, we became very close friends and being with them for the four years we became like family and saying good bye to them this year was harder than I expected. Seven years ago if my parents when my parents enrolled me into Idea Pharr I was devastated, but now I am so grateful they did as my experience in Idea Pharr was a unforgettable chapter in my life.
Idea is a different school from others cause teacher and counselors show they care about you and always try to help your needs , there is also a sense of family unity within everyone and it makes it fun and easy to be there in school and also the learning is way more enjoyable
I really enjoyed being to have teachers that wanted to make a connection with the students and helping being successful in side of school and out side of school.
My experience in this school is good, l have been here since 6th grade. This school help me in may things that I am thankful
If you seek higher education, this is the school that you have to attend. It guarantees that students will go to college and break the economic gaps in minority groups such as Hispanics. They provide the best from resources to teachers to ensure that the students develop a strong mindset that already knows what their academic goals are achieve the after closing the academic chapter of their lives.
We are all very educated and are like a family. we learned how to not give up. It is with me in every step of the way for my path to college.
