My experience in IDEA College Prep-Alamo has been very good for the most part. In our school, culture is shown tremendously, we appreciate and accept who we are and that makes it fun and you get a feeling that you belong there. The teachers are very good with you in the sense that they really care about the way our grades are going and really push us to do our best at every given moment. Although there are many good things about IDEA Alamo, something I would change about the school is on the amount of clubs/activities provided, I feel like it would be better if we had more things to participate and maybe even find out something we would like to pursue in our future.

The students behave as a family, having above the value of team and family. Teachers are also attentive to the necessities of their students, providing academic and moral support during and outside of school, always enhancing the importance of sweating the small stuff. Academicals are excellent since it has a high variety of Advanced Placement courses that have given me the challenges and difficulties that a student needs in order to be ready for the life of a university student: always give 100% every day with no excuses. Due to its location, the school is full of diversity, where I have learned a lot about different cultures and perspectives on issues in our society and around the world. Aside from creating a strong community of leadership skills,Idea pushes 100% of its students to obtain a college degree that is compatible with their ability, creativity and devotion in order to demonstrate the value of closing the achievement gap and obtain the higher level of education possible.
What I like about idea Alamo college prep is the push it gives its students to better their education and help give them a chance to better their lives. Within the campus, many of the students live in rural areas as well as it has a majority Hispanic attendance. This is very important as this was what helps show our school spirit as it is drawn from our culture. One of the things I'd like to change is ranking not only with our campus but all idea campus, even within the Hispanic and idea community there is still discrimination between campus as others see certain schools as ghetto and less developed or even thinking they are better than most students as they grow up in different environments. Id like to change this as we are all equal, yes at times we must be ruthless but we must also note we all come from a similar background and need to help one another.
