My School has really put effort into making sure Every student graduates with what they need and more. Our guidance counselor is amazing, and gives us advice that not only benefits the School, but the students well being as well. I have grown up in Idalou my entire life, and it holds those in it’s school to a high standard, that makes it hard to fail in life. I am a Christian, and I am proud to say that my values were not judged or held against me. I am grateful for Idalou High School.
I began my learning experience at Idalou Elementary whenever I was in first grade and am now a senior in Idalou High School. My mom teaches Kindergarden in the Elementary School and my sister is in Middle School. I play football and have been a part of varsity football ever since I was a freshmen. My senior year we beat Friona in Bi-District round of football. Then Crane in the Area round of the playoffs. However our playoff run ended whenever we lost to Wall in the Regional round of the playoffs. I earned awards for 1st Team All-District Linebacker and Honorable Mention All-State Academic.
Idalou High School is a very clean well kept school with great student who keep great grades. There is also a great staff at Idalou High School especially the teachers they always put there students future first and will do the most to help them with keeping good grades. We also have a great principal that is very inviting and always has his students best interest first. I feel like everyone at Idalou is very welcoming and very kind to each other. The safety at Idalou is top notch we have a police department in our school and all doors stay locked no matter what including classroom doors. Teachers are also super serious about our safety so when we have drills we will barricade doors just to practice as though it’s the real thing. Idalou’s sports are amazing our coaching staff keeps all our kids in great shape and last year we went to state in girls basketball. Overall Idalou is an incredible school and I recommend Idalou school district to anyone and everyone.
