Idaho Science & Technology Charter School (ISTCS) Reviews

ISTCS is an excellent school with dedicated teachers, administration, and supportive staff who put students first!
ISTCS is amazing for several reasons. One: The teachers truly care. They talk, they smile, and they are willing to work with students who struggle. Two: They offer challenging courses. At the high school, ISTCS students frequently are found in classes a year ahead of their classmates, and do very well. Three: The administration is excellent. Whether it is interacting with students, families, or teachers, they are involved and have a great positive attitude. Four: They strongly encourage a culture of respect and kindness towards others. They even participate in service projects throughout the year: cleaning a cultural park, creating quilts to give away, food drive, California fire victims supply drive, etc. There is little to no bullying.
My kids love ISTCS and have been so happy that we made the transition to attend here.

This school has been nothing but uplifting and helpful for my child who needs a little more assistance than public or the other charter school in this small town could offer. They offer educated and meaningful suggestions and resources. For the first time in my child's school life, bullying isn't an issue. They have started making friends and wakes up everyday excited for school. The hands on project learning is great for visual learners. I don't have a single complaint.
As a parent and future educator this school is an absolute joke. It's way too easy, not challenging and is seen as a last resort school for students. Their scores are HORRIBLE. The kids get away with everything there. They are more interested in enrollment and numbers than child progress. Teachers have been told to change grades to make things look good. If you want a good education Idaho Science and Tecnology Charter is NOT the place. Administration is horrible too.
