I loved how all the faculty knows you by name. Everyone is so kind, and it feels so safe! I look forward to going to school. The teachers make learning actually fun. Our classes are on the smaller size, which gives each student the ability to ask for help and get the answers they need! I love Hyde Park and wish I had gone there my Freshman year too!

I first came to Hyde Park in the 9th grade after moving from Mississippi. The move was hard on me and my family so I was hoping my new school would change this. At first it took a little getting use to but about the second week in I loved it! I was immediately included and supported. For the past four years my teachers and peers have constantly walked with my not only through my academic journey but also my faith journey. The close knit family of Hyde Park has been one I will never forget and continues to make an impact on my life each and everyday.
I love the administration and teachers. They are kind and want the best for their students. The school is safe. It is also a smaller environment than public schools in Austin. There are more direct and personal relationships between the students and teachers because of the size of the Hyde Park. Overall, universities love the kids that graduate from Hyde Park because they are college ready and know how to navigate life. There could be more diversity in the student body, but I still have learned a lot about different types of people by going to Hyde Park High School.
