My experience at Hutto High School was great. The school provided so many different programs for the students and really encouraged them to be part of the community. I learned so many things in my core classes and electives. Overall most of the teachers were easy to talk to and reach for questions. What I think Hutto High School needs to work on is creating better communication between the administration and the students. It was often hard to get a straight answer. Also the school is a bit crowded so the time limit they provide between each class was hard to manage, especially if you had to use the restroom or talk to a teacher.
The educational opportunities that were given to me during my time spent in school was magnificent! Not only did this school give me a heart welcome when i transferred districts but the staffs and educators were great people. These were teachers who actually cared! I graduated a happy hippo for sure. I still have contact with all my past teachers and counselor's and till this day they wish me nothing but the best!
I've been attending Hutto High School since my freshmen year and I'm currently a senior, so I've had my experiences. While I always felt my teachers had my back, I never felt like the school had my back. Honestly my best experience with school was during my sophomore year, when I had to do online learning because of COVID. My best experience with my school was when I didn't have to physically go there, I'm not quite sure what that says about my school or myself. In the end however, I survived my years there doing the best I could in my classes.
