At huntington high school it’s overall a good school but sometimes it needs a little more discipline and structure! At times the high school can be very loud at times . There are alot of disrespectful and non-obedient students there. I feel as if there should be more consequences to ones actions there. Therefore if the staff came together to make apply more structure it would be overall a great school. Another thing is that some students are placed in wrong classes, For example the honor classes have students that shouldn’t be in there for one their grades are not the best and for two their behavior is not shown honorly. Otherwise than that the school could be worked on if we took the time to do so as students. The students should want a good representation of the school they’re going to and possibly graduating from.

From the origin of when I started Huntington high school I felt welcomed with open arms. The food was great especially concession the ice machine was the most efficient machine they had along with the vending machine. When I started school I immediately joined jrotc creating my exhibition drill team sadly I had to leave it behind due to my scoliosis. The activities are taken very seriously from band , choir, football, basketball, robotics and several more. They all take it serious and the have a great and positive spirit towards others which makes it fun. The one thing that should change is too have new computers and smart boards to be able to help our learning learning the new technology. Overall, its a great school and has a positive spirit for school students ,activities ,and the special needs kids.
I love Huntington. I've been going ever since it was a middle-high school. I made quite some friends there. I've met some great teachers. The downsides are the environment, the structure, and some of the faculty and staff. I also feel as if Huntington would be a much better place if there wasn't favoritism for certain extracurricular activities/sports and if the staff would listen to the students more.
