Huntington Beach High School offered me an amazing high school experience. There were many campus clubs and ways to stay involved on campus. I was a member of the cheer squad and it was such a fun experience. Not only did I get to go and support our sports teams, but I made lifetime friends with the girls on my team. We practiced every day, and with the convenient location of HBHS near the beach, we were able to have beach practices! The school's ASB always had spirit weeks and put together school dances in the gym at least once a month, which was amazing. Huntington's campus is also exceptional, as it is not gated like most high schools. The buildings are all beautiful and white, and it is most well known for our theater building. The theater program at HBHS is so well known, that people transfer from different districts just to be a part of it. Huntington set me up for college and the rest of my life better than any high school I could have ever imagined.

The campus itself is absolutely stunning! When I first toured the school, I was impressed with how welcoming it felt compared many of the other schools in the district. Throughout my four years of high school I've come to realize that there will always be social flaws, but the school itself opens students to a multitude of opportunities that will help in the future and simply enhance their overall high school experience. The sports programs are all very high level and well-managed and don't fail to draw crowds of excited students. While cliques among students will always be present, I've found that the social aspect is never lacking, and people are often very supportive, as are the teachers and staff if you take the step of reaching out.
I loved my experience at Huntington Beach High School! Despite it being farther than the high school closer to my house, I chose attending here because I loved everything it had to offer. From the clean and beautiful campus to many opportunities in the academics and arts - there was so much the school had to offer. The teachers are very helpful and care about their students well-being. The only issue I had at Huntington was how cliquey it was socially and how competitive the environment was, but that is bound to happen in high school either way. All in all, could not have asked for a better experience.
