Hunterdon County Academies Reviews
Rating 5 out of 5 4 reviews
I have had a wonderful experience being part of this school for the last 3 and a half years. All of the staff is amazing and more than willing to support me and my fellow classmates. The program provides students with career and college readiness and I feel that I have definitely gained valuable experiences through the academy program. The program focuses a lot on student involvement. My teacher is amazing and changed my life because she pushes me to be the best person I can be and encourages me to challenge myself and follow my dreams. I have also learned how to effectively plan and manage events through the FFA which is a major aspect of Hunterdon County Academies and the Environmental Sustainability and Engineering Academy. I have been to many competitions, have been in a leadership role for all of my high school career, and served on the New Jersey State Nominating Committee for the school year of 2022-2023 where I made friends to last a lifetime.
I had two of my children in the Biomedical Sciences Academy. There were a lot of advantages to being in the academy. What they liked was being in the high school for 4 years compared to the nursing and exercising science vocational school programs which were held
junior and senior year part of the day off the high school property. Biomed Academy had excellent classroom equipment. My kids did not like the long bus ride. Most of the time I had to drive them especiallysince there is no after school bus due to being out of district. . I think what your teen will get out of the Academy or the school in general is what they put into it and what they take advantage of since the Academy and School is excellent in general and had a lot of opportunities. They made friends, joined clubs and activities and played sports. If our teen has an interest in one of the Academies it's worth checking out.

Excellent academic experience at a competitive admission magnet school focused on biomedical sciences.
