Hunterdon Central Regional High School District Reviews

High school is a critical period in a student's life, and it can be unforgettable. At Hunterdon Central, the curriculum includes a wide range of subjects including math, science, social studies, English, and foreign languages. It also allowed students to explore their interests and passions through extracurricular activities. There are many clubs, teams, and organizations that students can join, such as sports teams, ASL club, NHS, student government, and more. These activities gave students opportunities to develop leadership skills, make friends, and have fun! The environment was not as diverse as it could have been but when the connections were made with students from different backgrounds and cultures everyone came together to learn and grow. It provides students with a comprehensive education, opportunities for extracurricular activities, a social environment where lifelong friendships can be formed, and provided a strong foundation for future academic pursuits.
We are three months into sending our kids here, and we are beyond impressed. The teachers are inspiring and engaging, the social atmosphere is good, the administrative staff is friendly and has the kids' best interests at heart, the sports are above and beyond with coaches making character and perseverance just as important as talent, the curriculum is rigorous, the theatre program is outstanding, the abundance of clubs (over 200) is incredible, and the counseling services are above and beyond (you will not find such a great emphasis on counseling at any other NJ school). This is a great district and an excellent high school!
Overall, I have had a very positive experience at Hunterdon Central thus far. My school offers a variety of different classes, clubs, activities, services and sports programs that promote growth and learning for all different kinds of people. When issues and conflicts arise among the student body, the administration--in most instances--has handled such situations carefully and considerately, attempting to resolves such conflicts to the best of their ability. The staff and administration truly make an effort to connect with and listen to students. I have had incredibly positive learning experiences in the classroom as well as on the athletic teams. The school has a particularly diverse number of clubs available to students with different interests, which is something that many utilize and enjoy. Resources such as online research data bases and counseling services are readily available to all students. Overall, I feel very fortunate to attend this school.
