My overall experience would be normal, I hadn’t had friends at all besides my girlfriend, I’ve made a great GPA. I’ve been in JROTC for 1st semester in freshman year, both sophomore. I participated in drill, rifle and color guard team. During sophomore year, November to February I joined swim team with math teacher Ms.Kimmel. I like hunter Huss overall, great diversity within teachers and students . The staff treats u more like an adult rather than kid which makes me feel appreciated and looked after instead of tolerated. Some of the teachers could be better, rather that is the slack of work they do, more teachers are online teaching rather than hands on, which would help ADHD students like myself. Electives are very diverse. During lunch they have scholarships sometimes come out, military recruitment, and different offers.
Great school to go to in my opinion.
Great school to go to in my opinion.
When I first started high school everyone told me not to go to this school because it is "bad". I was even talking to a teacher there when I started and told her the same thing and that I was glad I ended up at Hunter Huss. The teachers and staff at this school are awesome! I absolutely loved my time at this school and was honestly a little sad when I left. I ended up having some amazing and helpful teachers and a guidance counselor. Between the teachers helping me with work or just being there for me to talk was so helpful. My advisory teacher always checked on me when she seen me in the halls even after we didn't have advisory. She also helped me come out of my shell and to try harder in school. All together I really enjoyed my time at this school!
HHHS is overall pretty okay, it’s just a lot of people there start unnecessary drama and some teachers don’t even take the necessary actions in order to stop it. There was this one instance where I had got into it with one of the dudes in my class and it blew up into this big thing because all his friends joined in on a hate train while not even knowing the whole story. It got bad to the point where they tried locking me in the classroom with them while they formed a circle around me and my other friend (it was literally at min. 10 of them surrounding us) as they were harassing us. This all took place while our teacher was literally right in front of me witnessing it all and didn’t do a single thing to stop them. I didn’t even get so much as a sorry from the students or teacher. Hunter Huss is definitely not the perfect school and very cheap but despite all the bad I was able to make some good lifelong friends who I cherish very much.
