Hudson High School Reviews
Rating 3.7 out of 5 299 reviews
Hudson High School has wonderful educational, musical, athletic, and extracurricular programs. The teachers at our school are devoted, passionate, and intelligent. Our building was recently renovated, and is very beautiful and has many classrooms with large windows and natural lighting. I believe it has one of the top high school choir programs! Many of our athletic teams have won the state championship multiple times, at the D1 level. Many opportunities for people of all interests, as there are countless clubs. However, the way the school handles safety measures with COVID-19 is disappointing. When there was a large outbreak in our county, the mask matrix was removed completely instead of followed. The mental health of students who have anxiety due to covid is not considered.
My time at Hudson High school will always be treasured. My teachers all cared for me and my progress, and were always available to help their students. I participated in every extracurricular I could, and still managed to feel like I was missing out on something- there is so much that Hudson had to offer! The only issue with this school is perhaps a lack of diversity, which I have appreciated so much from my college experience.
I used to work for Hudson High School. In the past, administration supported ALL teachers. If a teacher needed help, needed to grow in some areas, the administration would work to help that teacher grow. The current principal does not do this. Instead, he goes right to punitive, demeaning conversations where he lets you know he is above you. He wants "his" people to be in the school. If you are well liked and respected by parents and students, it is because you let them do whatever they want. Even though I currently no longer work there, I have kept in close touch with former colleagues and many of them are considering leaving and teaching elsewhere. This is really sad because the community is so great. The number of teachers on "improvement plans" is staggering.
