I've been to over 6 schools throughout my life, and I'd say HHS is your typical high school. You have some excellent teachers and some bad ones. Although the school attempts to connect the students and make us a community, I have not seen an improvement on that part. I believe ways this can be done are by starting new school opportunities. In the past students have been able to travel and explore other lifestyles and cultures. I feel that bringing this opportunity back to Hudson High can increase the excitement and engagement of the students. I and among many of my other students would love to see this happen. However, If this is too much maybe starting small would be easier. Having more pep rallies, field trips, or even just allowing the students to be more involved with the choices made at the school, can all help with the improvement within the school's community. Even though there are things HHS needs to improve on, the want to have the best education for its students is seen.
At hudson high I feel like the students are well-controlled to a certain extent by the teachers around them. It can get a little crazy at times, but it’s a decent amount of respect across the school. The teachers are great for the most part, some bad apples but thats everywhere. I would like to have the phone policy removed because there’s no point to it since people use their phones anyway. Arc is a great study block for 40 minutes and I think it’s the best part of Hudson High academics. The athletics are also good for the most part, with a lot of great teams, and some not-so-great teams too.
Prinicipal is a very anxious man, worried to insult others which made things such as a powderpuff game unable to happen. It felt as though fun parts of the high school experience were taken away however the school environment is a welcoming one.
