HB was a small, fairly tight school. In 7th grade I knew every kid in my level, except a few ESL kids. All my teachers cared for their students and worked with them, often one-on-one. I filed a report of fighting and it was quickly investigated and a counselor helped both students reach an agreement. It was a great school to go to then. My sister says the opposite now. The issues remind me of our high school. The student population is too high and there isn’t enough staff. More staff are hired but they’re not amazing teachers, just bodies to control classrooms. They barely teach. Students don’t understand and aren’t engaged so departments demand more busy work. It gets worse. Our district is not what it was.

Probably on of the best schools I've been to. This school was chosen as the 2014 Texas Schools to Watch, which basically means one of the top 8 schools in Texas. We do many things here such as our Day of Service, which means every student in the school takes a day off to volunteer for our community. Our teachers are probably one of the best ones I've seen.
