The best experience that I believe to be at Howard High School would be the teachers and the friends that I have associated with my life in both Howard Middle and High School. In my current state, I always treasure those that I surround myself with as my actions can affect them. Friends to even just classmates are all that I share memorable memories that I withhold in my mind and still will. The teachers that I appreciate who show their support to me in my darkest times and who teach me more about life after being a high schooler. The worst part of my experience would be the constant fights and negativity that surround my school each year that I have been through. Fights that are questionable and stupid to the point as to why they are even fighting in the first place. This dispute causes many special events to be canceled such as prep rallies. I would like to see a change in the way why students choose to fight each other and how they can use nonviolent ways to communicate better.
The educational experience at howard is a 9/10. As long as you respect the teachers and what there are here to do, you should have no problems. The faculty at howard from my experience only is a 10/10. All the teachers i’ve had personally really seem to enjoy what they do. Some may be strict but I never truly thought they wanted the worst for me. The only “problems” at howard are the students. Some students cause disruptions just to get a laugh out of their peers. Most of the time their peers will laugh along. This kind of disruption has a negative effect on the learning environment at howard. I feel as if teachers are too lenient with this kind of behavior. They give disruptive students many chances that shouldn’t be given in the first place. I hope to see this change in my last year at Howard. One thing I disliked was that we weren’t allowed to wear hoodies. That ban has been lifted. But my overall experience at Howard is a 9/10. I truly love my teachers and the people around me.
My experience at Howard has been pretty mixed, I've had good teachers that really seems to care about you and want you to succeed, but I've also had teachers that seem like they don't want to be there. The social atmosphere is pretty accepting and people seem to get along well. The biggest problem is the lack of activities and rewards for good behavior which discourages kids from coming to school.
