I enjoyed being a student at Howard Health Life and Sciences High School. I graduated a year ago, but when I was there for the four years I felt like the teachers were good and the material they went over was good as well. I think the faculty was okay at the time, but the college readiness was as I expected. I think diversity was good and the could have improved on having more activities that would entice the upperclassmen to attend events. Sports and the Arts at the school is more of a non-applicable factor considering it is more stem based (although it might have broaden up some more). Overall, I had a good experience at the school and I would recommend it to some else.

There are many fantastic qualities about Howard Health & Life Sciences, which since 2016 has been renamed as "Cumberland Polytechnic High School." For one is the staff. While you might not get along with a few of them or they just might not be your "cup of tea," you'll find that there are others who you can instantly click with. In regards to academics, the teachers here are well-educated and well-versed on the topics they teach, so you do not have to worry about if you are getting the proper information you need. As well as the fact that you will be getting your Associates at the same time you get your High School diploma, I say this is school is well worth attending.
My experience at Howard was great but also rocky. At the time there was alot of administration and teachers transitioning in and out. Even so I still wouldn't change my high school even if I could go back in time. I learned about life and people as a high school student on a college level. The teachers and principal (of that time) were really into boosting our confidence and getting us out into the world. We didn't have sports unfortunately because my school mainly focused on academics. Some of the teachers I had are not there now but some of them are. The principal has changed as well, even though all that has taken place the school as a whole is still a great school and I was blessed to be able to go there.
