As the school is being renovated, the school is growing into a better atmosphere. The overall feel of the school is nice, the teachers all understand where these students come from and the janitors are always friendly to everyone. Although the school is full of drama and never really dies down, there are still many people you can find to be great friends. The teachers push hard to make sure students graduate, and the counselors want to make sure we apply to every college/university we can think of. So overall, this school is a good place to be. Everything new is coming their way so i believe students can be very successful here. culinary, construction, music, computer, and so many more career classes here, any student can find peace here.

The environment is very good, would like to see less teacher conflicts though. My experience at Sam Houston High School has been overall very pleasant. I have not had any issues with the administration as well as the students. the teachers are all very well educated and informed. Most are more than qualified to teach our students here and do an excellent job. Speaking from personal experience, the teachers here work harder to make sure that we not only complete our assignments, but that we stay on task and fully understand the work we are given. They even provide tutorial session before and after school (varies within teacher's limitations) as well as offer "Saturday School" tutorials.
I like the fact that Sam Houston high school is a great school that shows potential and has amazing teacher models that will help students excel in their future. There are many programs offered there that can help students succeed in college and education. It is one of the best schools to have an amazing band program because through their program they have sent many graduates to colleges and have the best teachers to guide them. I recommend this school 100% because it is a school of diverse culture, knowledge , and heart.
