I love being a student here! The majority of the staff are absolutely amazing and treat me with respect. The academic learning experience is amazing as well, and most of my teachers are very flexible with my accommodations and my work ethic.
I have only been at this school for about a year since moving from another state, but my overall experience has been good. I have met excellent teachers who are good at explaining topics and helping students with issues. I like the class structures and appreciate the efforts the staff make in order to make the school a better place overall. The stress of the workload in some classes may be overwhelming at times, but this goes more toward the difficulty of the class as a whole than the teachers. The teachers also put in a good effort to make class more interesting and incentivize students for good work. I just wish there were less stress on things like attendance because it may involve things one cannot control and students should not be punished for these circumstances. The stress on other minute rules also shifts the main focus of school to non-important issues at times.
My high school has been a great place for academic opportunities. There are so many people there so you are guaranteed to find a group of people to fit in with. Since i moved i the middle of my high school career, i was there for my junior and senior year. The difference in the amount of AP classes available along with the multitude of elective pathways was crazy. The teachers I met have pushed me and made a me a better student. Although the admin on the other hand were different. Only a few out of the many admin showed genuine care for the students. One of which was my councilor who had helped me with my transition and my classes to help me feel more comfortable. Another was the assistant principle, who is now the principle this upcoming school year, who showed love and care into every student. He showed motivation and positive regard into every students lives. So, aside from the admin's racism and blatant disregard for their students, the teachers and students there has changed me.
