Houston Community College is a great place for people who want to continue their education and who don't have access to big money resources like myself.
My teachers were really nice and the Rate My Professor website really helped me pick the best teachers.
The life skills program was great. I did learn a lot but the teacher seamed like she didn’t wanna be teaching so it made it a little un-fun.
Houston Community College offers a variety of resources that allows intensive growth for both students and parents. They take a hands on learning program with a decent teacher to student ratio, encouraging students to explore on their own while being guided enough to learn for themselves.
A change I would like to see would be the fact that most of the time, everything on the site is very confusing, and don’t know what exactly I should do to solve my problem or look for what I am looking for. Something good is that the advisors are very polite and walk me through the steps when I need help.
My school is very interested in making sure I succeed in my area of study by giving me resources to make sure after school or during that I have all I need. If I could change one thing I want it to be easier to understand everything about my path in college.
What I really like about Houston Community College is their online courses options! Their advisors are very helpful.
Houston Community College allowed to take college level courses in parallel to high school and work on a college GPA while in high school.
. They provide a more affordable option for higher education, with smaller class sizes and highly qualified professors who are dedicated to helping students succeed. Houston Community colleges are often located in convenient locations and offer a variety of engaging activities for students.
Some professors do care about students and some don't. Some teachers will give you a lot of homework and won't even teach you in class. I suggest looking up your professors' names first before signup for classes.
HCC is a decent school. There are times where you can have one of the best professors, and there are times where you get a professor so terrible and uncaring of whether or not you learn. It also feels like sometimes the overall administration doesn't care about the students. For example, I took a Bio Lab class and we rarely ever had the materials to actually conduct the experiments, we would have to change schedule and do virtual labs instead. But I do recommend going to save money on classes. Again, there are some professors that are genuinely amazing and care about you learning the material. So it can be a hit or a miss sometimes.
Houston community college is a really good educational institution. I like its comfortable learning environment and affordable classes
I would like to see a change on the activities that is going on. There needs to be improvement on the front office workers, they could not tell me where there was an event going on.
Very nice school, with good resources for their students. They have plenty of opportunities for students and faculty to interact with each other.
Give me a heaven of knowledge. I had knowledge here. Spacious classrooms and advanced teaching equipment. The sound of reading can be heard in every classroom. We not only acquire knowledge.
Houston Community College makes students feels accepted and provides equal opportunities to all. As a freshman in college, I had little knowledge about what to expect or what to even do. However, each department staff’s were very helpful and kind in assisting students with their needs.
It’s a very nice school. Its nothing crazy and that’s what is perfect. I can get through classes much easier through this community college than past colleges. All the professors are very nice and helpful that i’ve had. I haven’t struggled once in school.
