Houston Community College - Life Skills Program Reviews
Rating 4.34 out of 5 159 reviews
Great community college, very diverse and easy to navigate. The staff are all credible and take their time in teaching the students and making sure we are understanding of the material. They have many locations In the Houston area so wherever you are you will be able to commute to school if need be. Safety for the school is top notch. The resources given to us in order to achieve success is amazing food pantry’s work programs scholarship and academic advisors there to help you every step of the way. If there was anything I would change is that I wished there was more activities and clubs there are only a select few. Not much food here beside vending machines and a occasional coffee place but I don’t mind their are a bunch of local places right down the street, I have also dealt with funicular aid and updating info that whole process if very easy and straight forward, but I will say the amount of time you wait on that phone yo hear back from somebody is astronomical
HCC is a decent school. There are times where you can have one of the best professors, and there are times where you get a professor so terrible and uncaring of whether or not you learn. It also feels like sometimes the overall administration doesn't care about the students. For example, I took a Bio Lab class and we rarely ever had the materials to actually conduct the experiments, we would have to change schedule and do virtual labs instead. But I do recommend going to save money on classes. Again, there are some professors that are genuinely amazing and care about you learning the material. So it can be a hit or a miss sometimes.
Houston Community College it’s a great institution that has lots of diversity, is low on price and it can be easily accessible to anyone. They provide financial aid to whom may request it and have a hold of a large variety of schedules that you can design to your benefit. This institution has certainly helped shape young adults and anyone who was whiling to learn into success. The classroom and installations are very comfortable as well as the aura created by teachers and classmates, everybody is very focused on their own activity which allows you to be more connected with your responsibilities and most importantly yourself and your needs. All staff are very kind and they also offer testing rooms for TSI and many more impostaba exams. The campus is always very clean and tidy, also very spacious and with a large parking area and different entrances that are helpful for when you don’t want to walk as much. It’s one of the most accessible colleges in the area of Houston and in the US!!!!
