Horton high school has definitely been an experience. Coming from a smaller town you experience that town love from sports games to arts. All students are active and we all love helping and giving back to the community. The teachers are well known and are loved.Horton high has his and downs but I would definitely rather not be anywhere but here!
My experience at Horton High School has been like most other experiences in high school. I think that high school really shapes you into your true self. You find your real friends, of course right after you realize who the fake ones are. You go through heart break and pain, but what means more than that is the memories you make. Here at HHS, the teachers are very welcoming and friendly. The teachers make you feel at home. Although there have been a lot of unfortunate accidents in the school environment over the years across the country, our teachers make sure we feel safe. We are provided with technology that keeps us safe and feel comfortable. This includes; cameras, door armor, and video phones to voice in visitors and staff/students. Teachers work experience ranges from first-timers to over 30 years. Most of the students here are very nice and welcome other students with open arms. I couldn't imagine growing up anywhere else, and I wouldn't want to.
I love the art department! The teachers are amazing and I could not have asked for nicer people! The only thing I did not like was the flights of stairs.
