Horseheads Senior High School Reviews

Some of my best experiences were simply in class with my friends. Depending on what teacher I had could make or break me. Some teachers could not click with me and I would not learn a thing, others would click and I would have fun learning. However, some of my worst experiences would be the social events set up by the school. The social events would be unorganized or changed several times. Many things would happen and the supervisors did nothing about it. It was very stressful and suffering with anxiety I ended up not attending any my senior year.
Horseheads high school was a great school because the teachers cared about you and your learning. However something I would improve on is making more AP classes for students as we were very limited. Something interesting about my school was the scheduling, we have a block scheduling unlike other high schools around us. Personally I disliked this style however some do like it because one does not have to worry about many classes at once.
Horseheads provides an excellent education. However, it sadly lacks many AP classes. Providing about 5 out of the countless classes the school could offer. The school's administration also repeatedly ignores and hurts the music department. The department used to be one of the best in the state, but after a series of cut after cut in the music budget and the repeated mistreatment of the music teachers, the music department has faded. The music teachers there do provide the best education and as many opportunities as possible with their given resources. Which is something the administration should use as a reason to increase the budget for the music department.
