The people are probably the best part about it. Teachers are (mostly) friendly, administrators are nice people, custodians are accommodating and fellow students are alright. The facilities are quite nice, even though there seems to always be construction going on. My only major complaint is the counseling department, they seem like they don’t do anything except make schedules. Food is alright, and the sports coaches are awesome. The choral and band programs are also an amazing part of the experience. Definitely would recommend sending students there.
I have enjoyed going to Hornell High School. There are many opportunities to get ahead by taking college level classes such as AP classes, classes through Alfred University and Classes through Corning Community College. Not only that, being a smaller school were like a family and the teachers are always there to help any student in need and also sincerely care about their students as well.
All of my teachers were nice, good people. Some of the classes tended to put a large workload on you. I do not enjoy the recent hybrid schedule we have been put on due to the corona virus. I wish we could have more in-school days because I don’t like online school.
