My overall high school experience wasn't the best, but it wasn't the worse. I experienced just about everything that the average high school student should. Although I wish my school would have more events for the students to truly enjoy themselves. It would cause a less stressful and strict environment. Test scores and student mental health would probably improve.

There are obvious flaws to every high school. Ours had fighting and the occasional drug bust. But in the end HLHS was a community. We stood up for each other when another was down. We always had our friends backs. The teachers there cared for us and mentored us to be gentleman and ladies of society. Some teachers were fathers to students who had none. And even if students had a behavioral problem, they were pushed to do their best and some will graduate with honors. HLHS was a home away from home. And I'll never forget what it has taught me.
Overall, my experience at Horn Lake has been a good one, but there are a few things that need to be addressed. An active student body is very lacking throughout Horn Lake, therefore, school spirit is lacking. Academic wise, we have some amazing teachers that are very under appreciated. Sportswise our football team is pretty great, but other than that we need a bit of help. The arts throughout Horn Lake do not receive enough attention and are also under appreciated. But other than that Horn Lake is an amazing school.
