I was a student from 6th to 8th grade. I loved the teachers and staff. But the food was terrible. One of my favorite teachers was Mr.Benson.

I was a student here in 8th grade and what I saw was stupid. First and foremost is the annoying lunchroom where there's always conflict there. I have seen kids being pulled from their lunchroom because of something they didn't do. Secondly is the teachers are very bad at their job. There are some great teachers but there are teachers that are just bad and they still work here despite of their fail ratio. Thirdly the school is just so restrictive that you can't walk even freely without being stopped by staff. Even this does not stop there there are fights and rude students. It seems endless and there's police presence really. I can't even say anymore because this school is inefficient at working to make this school fun and safe for everyone.

So many opportunities for kids to participate from music/art/theater and sports

The school uses email, text and Powerschool to notify parents on school events. Easy to get ahold of teachers

There are many resources in the school that help to keep the kids safe and healthy

My son really enjoyed his time at Horizon Middle School. He felt he was challenged in academics, and had great teachers that listened to him.
