The best part of my high school experience was having fun memories to look back and and reminisce on. The worst part of my high school experience was the college readiness because there could’ve been more meetings to prepare us for a big future.
Some of the best parts are the teachers who give you opportunities to learn and succeed and will go out of their way to help out students. Some of the worst parts are the students that ruin the great opportunities given to students by not being responsible to attend class or do what they were told to.
I will start off by saying that my best experience in high school was being on the soccer team. During this time I was taking dual credit classes so it made me realize that I had capabilities that I never thought I had. This made me a better student overall I dedicated my time more to school. the worst parts of high school were the times when in my sophomore year I made a terrible mistake that made me look like a bad student. Hanging out with the wrong crew and falling into smoking. Although, I made these mistakes I learned from them to never do fall into these types of friendships again. I focused on my school and stopped interacting with these people, but I realized that hanging out with people who have the same interests as me would benefit me even more. What I would like to see change about my high school is to have more school spirit and to focus on each individual student and push them to apply for scholarships and colleges so they can have a fair chance to have a career.
Horizon high school has had its challenges but despite that they haven’t really done anything until we had gotten out new principal.
Throughout 10th - 12th grade in Horizon High School, I noticed how the school system became much more strict and did a lot of unnecessary physical changes to the school.
school has very friendly students with very talented programs. although one of the core issues is overall academic morel of the students many do not care for there academics leading to low test scores for the school.
Overall I enjoyed the extracurriculars that were provided. I participated in Student Council, Tennis, NTHS, and Chess. All of these allowed me to experience different areas of expertise. The environment was a bit wild at the beginning of my High School years; Covid not assist with this. However, all of these experiences allowed me to learn and attempt to improve my school.
Overall great teachers, good education, and school spirit are shown in any activities students participate in.
Horizon High School is a great diverse environment where you get to meet new people every day. Teachers and students are very generous to each other when it comes to anything.
My freshman year I went to Clint early college, since I didn’t like it I transferred to horizon high school. The best part was knowing how far I went in life, how strong I got. The worst part was when it was all over too soon.
great classes and great staff also love the school love everything about it love how everything it’s always clean.
The best parts about this wonderful school is the amazing student-staff connections. Teachers car and many of us would consider them as amazing friends. Not only that but the school spirit is unreal! Some of thr bad things would be at times some teachers don't grade on time which can throw off grades and there is often student altercations and drug use in restrooms.
I didn't like anything about Horizon High School. Everything they do makes no sense. Not only does the school force upon us the rules, which is good but it makes no sense that the favoritism is out of the roof when it comes to those rules being followed. Just if you are part of a sport you get out of trouble easily, and the whole system is unfair. The teachers are awful, hardly pay attention to what you truly need help on, and they lack in a lot of fields that a teacher shouldn't be lacking on. For example, If I need help they tend to just give me a youtube video to watch instead of them themselves helping me hands-on since we are in a classroom environment. All the threats teachers give in order for you to graduate make no sense as well, instead of threatening us to fail, why don't you push us to do better and fix the mistakes that we do? The campus is beautiful but the staff make it awful and impossible to stay.
horizon high school is a very good school but it is a little too strict with some of its rules, and most securitys, administrators and teachers dont enforce them because of how absurd they are. the teachers are great and care alot about their students.
I went to this high school for all 4 years of my high school years, I would honestly recommend this school to anyone. This school is so friendly and enjoyable, the staff and administrators make this school very safe and very educational for the students. The teachers are all about teaching students. They enjoy what they do and while they enjoy it, they make it enjoyable for the students.
What I liked about Horizon High School is the programs like cosmetology and forensic science that I am in, I also like the staff that always helps when I need so. What I would like to change about Horizon is the dress code rules between women and men.
On one end, Horizon High School has a wide array of activities to participate in as well as decent performance in academics, but it seems that there are many costs to students. Food options are highly limited and, at times, they are prepared horribly or are generally not safe. We all know it's hard to have a good academic performance when there is no meal that a student would dare eat. There have been findings of feathers in cooked chicken and raw/expired meat. In addition, it seems to take weeks for bathrooms to be cleaned or soap dispensers to be filled. Overall, this school strives for pushing students, but they leave sanitation and well-being behind.
