Horizon Christian High School is an amazing school. The Thing that stands out the most by far is the Staff. They are always willing to put in extra time to ensure the success of their students. They go out of their way to create a positive relationship with each of the students. Personally, accepting the offer to work outside of class with a teacher has always proved to be beneficial. They contain a plethora of knowledge, and are always willing to share with their students. Horizon has been a wonderful place to spend my high school career and i could not be more grateful for them. That being said, I do think that Horizon could improve their math department. There has been a change in math teachers for most of the years I have been there. Some stability and consistently would benefit that program and its students.
I love this school and it has truly grown me closer to my peers. I love the teacher-to-student ratio it makes the learning experience enjoyable and it helps me learn.
Horizon does a great job fostering a community where every student can feel like they belong and are cared for by the teachers. I worked on ASB at this school and a large part of the focus when planning events was asking how can we (1) connect the student body and (2) give the students who may often feel over looked the chance to show what they are good at.
Personally as a student I love it when the Bible is inserted into absolutely everything, nut at horizon the curriculum often did not talk about the Bible or faith at all. Many people would probably appreciate that, but for me it was something I missed from the school I had transferred from before Horizon. So while the christian aspect does not come in very much in curriculum it does show in teacher student interactions as the teacher's aim to exemplify Christ like behavior with their students. The school is not exclusively christian and most of my non-christian friends felt very welcome in the environment.

My experience at Horizon has been great, so far. It’s a small school, both the teachers and the students know you and can help anytime. Teachers are warm and welcoming. You can tell that all of the teachers truly care about each individual student. I’m a sense, the school is one big family. The school offers many extracurricular activities, ranging from Esports, the arts, and sports. The classes are very small, which benefits greatly for students. Very safe school. Even though I was very hesitant to come to the horizon in my Freshman year, I truly enjoy every minute of going to school there.
I really enjoyed the size, chapels, athletics, teachers' relationships with students, school trips over spring break, and dual credit classes available! However, I feel like having a school counselor being hired and at least two coaches for each sports team would help the students with their mental health through high school, as well as their spiritual health.
This school is exactly what students need to thrive in the educational arena. I am astounded at how well this school prepares students for success in their post high school journey, specifically at a university. The access to extra-curricular activities and a robust curriculum is very impressive.
I really enjoyed the personalized attention from the faculty both in and out of the classroom at Horizon. Having the opportunity to grow both academically and athletically in such a tight-knit community was such a blessing because I felt as if they invested so much time into each one of us students which helped prepare us for our future ahead.
The community of Horizon is very welcoming. Choosing horizon for it's higher education is a great decision. Classrooms are small and teachers care about the students. My son feels safe at this school. There is definitely favoritism coming from the administrative staff. If you are a young lady you will do fine here. Weird, I know. If you are male at this school you will be targeted. They are quick to threaten to expel students for no good reason. The principle does not care that you are paying top dollar for your student to go to this school. That could have a lot to do with the amount of attendees and why it never seems to grow. All in all my husband and I have weighed the good vs bad for our son and we believe this is where God has placed our son. Otherwise we would be seeking out other private schools. I am hopeful that I can rate this school better in the future as my son moves up in years. This far we are un-happy and expect more.
Horizon Christian High School is an amazing school that focuses on preparing the students for college by offering many dual credit classes which can allow you to start college as a sophomore if you take most of the college classes they offer! They also help prepare students for the real world experiences by acknowledging who they are and that they're worth something at the school. Overall, the teachers are there to fully help and you have a close relationship with them. The community of Horizon is very welcoming and choosing Horizon is a great decision for education.
Think "Footloose" (the 1980's version) and as a parent of a 16-year-old, I couldn't be more thrilled ...
Looking back at his first 2 years, I realized I was 'Holding out for a Hero'. Someone to step in and fill in the educational blanks he was missing. Today, I can say in complete confidence we have found that at HCHS. There will be no 'Dancing in the Sheets' under their watch. The simple fact is, Horizon Christian High School is 'Almost Paradise'.
Our public High School seemed to have forgotten what is important, it makes a person want to 'Bang Their Head' and I can assure you, as a mother, 'Hurts so Good' is not applicable in this particular case. Thank Heavens, 'I'm Free' from that headache for these last 2 years of my sons Education.
'Let's Hear It For The Boy', goodness knows he's earned it.

Horizon is a wonderful community filled with teachers and staff who care beyond the classroom. Students are taught with a Christ centered education, and are well prepared for college.
My experience at Horizon Christian High School have been great! The teachers care about the students and want to see them succeed. They make sure to make themselves available to the students that might need extra help.
It has really good teachers but the school is very small and filled with drama. Too much drama and too many fake people.
Everything is within close parameters which makes finding resources a very easy task
This School offers one college credit class which is pre-calculus
