Great school. My daughter is really happy at Horace Mann. Very good ESL program for non-English speakers.
I have been a parent at HM for over a decade. Our community is open, diverse, involved, supportive, and welcoming. My older children were placed in honors after graduating HM. The TK-5 program here is robust with specials ranging from art, makerspace, science, PE, and music. Come be a part of our amazing community with supportive administration and teachers.
My son has been in 3 different schools his entire childhood with every teacher and student loving his sweet and easy going personality. However, for the first time in our school experience we encountered an individual who should in no way be allowed to educate and influence children.Elizabeth Cornejo was extremely negative and abrasive with our son, other kids and parents. Her rude attitude and lack or proper manners has no place in a school system. Zero.My son, like all kids, spends more time in school during the weekdays than at home and it pains me to see someone with this type of toxic energy influencing my son. For this reason alone, we decided to pull him out of this school.
Education is pretty good, however the bullying is over the top. Also my daughter says that a lot of kids have boyfriends and girlfriends and hold hands and kiss during recess. What’s going on isn’t there any adult supervision during recess? This is unacceptable and should not be tolerated
I have been to the office to to question this practice and apparently they’re under staffed and neither bullying or under age daring is a priority of the recess supervisors or any of the staff.
“Horrace Mann, get with the program”

The school itself is Gorgeous and Newly Renovated. The Principal Dr. Fine is as nice as she is very intelligent and really cares about her job, the children and their education, behavior and well being. The Vice Principal Mr. Foldvary is just as kind and caring, yet firm and straight to the point. My sons teach is very kind. The safety of my child and every child here at this school is uppermost important to the staff at my child’s school. My only complaint with this school is that This schools testing scores were 67% in Reading and 64% in Math. All Beverly Hills schools should work towards raising those scores to the 70s, 80s or 90s. It would better prepare them for a Great College Education in My Opinion. Extending school an hour or two Instead of sending homework would be Great!
There a variety of sports to participate in here but not many participate
