Hopi is a great school for all native american and other race. Hopi as great opportunities. I have graduated from the Hopi high school in 2019. Hopi High was has a GREAT! cross country team, boys cross country has won State champion with a 27 state title and the girl with 25 state title. Hopi high was in build in 1978. the teachers are great with the student even with the special needs student. Our student is many 95% Hopi reservation and 5% navajo. Hopi high are always into sport! even our communities are into it, enjoying the game, watching their nephew, niece, sister, or brother to play the sports they love. Hopi has also many language classes you can learn including hopi, navajo, or Spanish. they teachers are always involve with the students as well, because they want the best thing for their student when they graduate from Hopi high school. I had a opporunties to play college volleyball and to continue what I love which is a education.
My school is a small school compared to others near, but also isolated. My school is located in Hopi that serves Hopi and Navajo students to get an education that everyone deserves. Some standards were lower than other public schools such as Winslow High School, but students that do want to go to college go above and beyond to get their place on scholarships and programs that will contribute to their tuition. The school also provides cultural aspects and understand the time of year where cultural events are taking place, allowing students to participate in their cultural events, because we believe this will benefit the world. Those students that will go above aznd beyond are also active participants in our culture that want the best for the world. This school helped students manage between school, culture, and personal life where there are many people without electricity or running water. I would recommend this school to any student that is spiritual and want to academically succeed.
Hopi Jr./Sr. High School is a great school. The teachers are there to teach and support the students in future life endeavors. Something that I would like to see more of is college readiness and information on scholarship opportunities.
