The school is very homey and tight-knit, everyone is like a family and we ll treat eachpther as such. and while the education might be a little fast paced everything it somewhat slow
Hope helped me from being heald back in the 5th grade. They gave me a placement test and showed that I knew everything I needed to go on to the next grade level. In high school, they helped me with more one-on-one help and being able to work at my own pace. I ended up graduating half a year early because they were out of classes they could give me.
This school is a life saving school. As a student that struggled in public school most of her life, coming to HOPE was a saving grace. The teachers are kind and committed, and your journey to graduation is so personalized. I never thought I would want to go to college until I started attending this school, where I not only do better than previous years, I excel.
I transferred to this online academy due to the fact that the previous online school i was attending gave me issues involving classes and credits. As I moved here, I noticed an interesting environment that's almost very unprofessional. As the year progressed I slowly began to realize there was an issue occurring with my online system. But due to the fact that the teacher and administration never listen to a student while constantly assuming they're right and i'm wrong, they denied giving me credits for classes I completed with straight A's. They rather say I did not do any work, rather than look at the proof I have of course completion. Overall due to this experience I have feared that my academic career might be on a fine thin lie. They refuse to help in any way or give me the credits I deserved. I fear this is all done in a personal attack on my academic record because I recently made the decision to be myself.
My experience at Hope Online Learning Academy was very inspiring. Being at a school where I know the teachers on a personal level really helped changed my view on High School. They knew my strengths and weaknesses and helped me to achieve the goals I set. Although, it was a challenge getting through some classes, the teachers helped me and worked with how I learn best. Not only were the teachers interested in my academics but also what I wanted to do after high school and in my personal life and showed me the steps I have to take in order to accomplish my hopes and dreams. It was a safe place I could be and know I am being protected. Speaking on behalf of my learning center, Awaken, everyone was part of this family. Everyone felt safe with one another. Being at Hope was such an amazing experience for me being in High school. I will be taking everything I've learned at this school into the real world when I start college and become on my own as an adult.
The teachers were very accommodating towards me and I am able to take three classes at a time and still graduate on time.
There is bullying at this school, but the teachers are good at getting the student away from the bully.
I personally don't know much about the extracurriculars, but I know they have proms which is good.
The teachers care for their students and it just makes you feel good.
My school is great because the staff is always there to help you out. The dress code at my school ensures that there is no division between the students and so reduces conflict.
One school policies that seems to affect students and parents is bullying situation. In every school facility bullying is one of the most problem in the school district, students get bullied over disabilities, clothing, weight, disorders anything to be exact. My personal opinion on the problem at school is bullying really does not have a solution, it only leads to bigger problems.
This school could use some help. our facilities are usually poorly financed and outdated. There really is a shortage of staff in most of the time, and there are no counselors or good college prep resources,
A few extracurricular are available at the beginning of the year however as time goes by, the budget of the school does not cooperate or there are no available teachers to make these happen. the only things that really stay open are the sports and the essay/oral contest annually.
