Hope Lutheran high school was one of the best experiences I had! Because of the small class sizes, you really get the attention you need in order to succeed. The teachers try to push you to your greatest potential. When I got to college, the classes were easier than most of the high school classes. If anyone is thinking about attending this school, I highly recommend it. Just stop by for a visit! You will not find a more caring and welcoming school family in the Winona area.
My high school has a total of 28 students 9-12. Hope Lutheran students are friendly and everyone gets to know everyone because we are together all the time. The teachers are tough but very committed to helping us learn. They use so much of their time to help the students during school study halls and after school tutoring. They make sure we are college-ready and help those who need special attention. The staff also cares about every student’s mental health. They make sure that no student slips through the cracks. The environment provides attention to every single student which is made possible by the small class sizes. There are strict dress codes and strict rules which create law-abiding citizens. Hope is also in the process of building a new building and gymnasium since we currently rent the basement from an elementary school. Hope Lutheran High School is a place for the strong and the weak, for the smart students and the remedial students, for the bold and for the shy.
The students there are okay. Not very many advanced classes there. Teachers are typically nice and care about you. I can't say the same for students though. There is a very diverse student body as they have a lot of foreign exchange students.
