My experience at Hope High School is so far something I haven't taken the time to appreciate because of being worried about finishing work and pondering about the future. The pandemic caused my family to have a housing crisis. I had trouble with school during that time but still wanted yo achieve and be apart if the school. In my senior year I wanted to make up for what I haven't done and try something before I can't anymore. I am hopeful that this would all be worth it and my work could pay off.
There has been a lot of great and bad things at this high school. The teachers and education is great at this high school, you get to learn a lot of things and there’s a lot of diversity that comes with this school too. It has a lot of diversity not only when it comes to the students but also with their programs and options. Some of the worst parts that I have come to witness so far are the behavior with some of the students that attend this high school and nothing is done about their behavior, most of the time they get away with their bad behavior.
art and theater and music sweet classes. no bullying. Food is not good but if you mix the veggie together its not bad. the people working in the building tdo care
Honestly, Hope has been bad-mouthed many times in the past and still today. However, as a junior on my way to senior year in hope, I can tell anyone that it has a lot more fun. Hope made me feel at ease than the other schools I've attended, and hearing stories and bonding with the teachers about the past is really fun but also a bummer. Hope used too much more than this and I'd like that to change. Hearing the stories on how hope would help out teen moms but also teachers with their children's, and plays and art room, sounded like fun but it was taken away.
like my school because it has some really cool teachers who make the lessons interesting and really make you want to work hard. Although I was bullied last year the school did things about it and gave me support." "I like school because I get to do things that can't do at home and I love seeing my friends and plus
I am so proud of my school because
Positive school environments are conductive to promoting better students achievement and behavior, also better teaching and better teacher behavior. So lets get busy becoming more positive and displaying our pride in all the good that we do on daily basis. I loved everything about Hope and I was one of many students who took advantage of everything Hope had to offer such as all the after school activities, student of the month programs, honors program and early college prep programs.
What I like best about Hope is that the teacher's really push us to be our best. I love the relationships I have built with my team mates and the only things that I would like to see change is a better clean and safe environment
I feel the City of Providence and it's school system are engaged in a complete disservice to it's city by providing an inadequate education. The buildings are falling apart, administration tries its best but is limited in their impact due to lack of support from the Mayor, and most of the teachers are there just to collect a check, their hearts are not in the job nor do they care about the success of the students or making a positive impact in their lives.
Overall hope was a good school, located near Thayer street which is a great place to go after school, there were some areas the school needs help on, but you can meet a variety of people here.
I remember when I started my senior year in Hope HS I joined the school soccer team and I have really enjoyed playing with them. We were in second place in the whole league and I am really proud of this. I also joined Hope HS’s JROTC program. Along with all enthusiasm and pride in this accomplishment. Hope High School had and still have the best JROTC program in the state of Rhode Island and that’s always making me proud to have been in. Some people at Hope HS such as my school consular and my teachers made me cry the day of graduation saying that “I will miss them” and that’s something that I will never forget about that school. Finally the only weakness that I’ve found about this school was that the school was sometimes too kind for students who were always making troubles. Troubles can happen in any school or institutions but the decisions taken about that are eventually different and Hope HS was just too kind and was always giving second or third chances.
My experience was a nice one great learning experience. If you want be involved with sports or even after school programs thats amazing because Hope High School definetly needs more people to join to create stronger teams and clubs.
hope high school is a fun family like environment with friendly caring teachers and filled with brilliant kids
Being i Hope High School, i have learned a lot of new things. i have met a lot of interesting people and i made a lot of new friends. I really like Hope because its very diverse. Everyone hangs out with everyone. People outside of ope bashes my school a lot because they think we aren't a good school, but honestly the teachers are amazing the administrators keeps everyone on track even the kids that refuse to at first, they always get through to them. If i had the chance to go to a better school the Hope i wouldn't take the offer because Hope is where my heart is.
Some teachers need to care more about school. They have to make students to study as giving homework or practicing.
With teachers its fifty fifty. On one side you have the teachers who go above and beyond and then you have the teachers who just do the bare minimum. Some teachers will see that your struggling and will take the time to help you truly understand the material. Other teachers will just give up on you if they see that you aren't grasping the material after some time. The way I see it, you have the teachers who go that extra mile and then some teachers will just teach.
My overall experience was great, i made great friends and recieved help when it was needed.
Teachers are okay but they do make an effort and push you to try your hardest to do your best
