Hope High School is a small school in Hope, Kansas. There is approximately 4 to 10 kids per class. The best thing about HHS is the one-on-one help from teachers due to the smaller class sizes. HHS also offers almost every class, so students of various interests can find a class that they enjoy. Something about HHS that has been one of the worst parts of my experience is that some of the teachers provide additional help and support to students who participate in athletics, rather than those who don't. If I could choose something I would change about HHS, I would make sure that all students are treated equally, no matter what they participate in.
I love this school. It has really small classes so you can be really close with the people in your class. The teachers are phenomenal! They help however they can and are very caring. The sports here are also pretty good. The coaches are also great!
Hope High School is a small K-12 school in rural Hope, KS. It is a school that prides itself, above all, in it's athletics program. Little resources and funds are funneled towards academics and other extra-curricular activities. Depending on your values as a student, this school could be spectacular or disappointing. I went here for my four years of high school and found the experience to be incredibly disappointing in many ways. The district's management of funds was absolutely appalling from the point of view of someone who attends school in order to get an education. Expensive new uniforms for both the basketball and football teams were purchased in the same year, yet we were using 7 year old laptops in all of our classes. The was no choir, no school band, no forensics, no debate, nothing like that. There was however Football, basketball, volleyball, and track.
While I've learned much in my time here, the subjects available are few and this gives little opportunity outside of the main subjects.
Most teachers are willing to help the student whenever possible and can be reached easily.
