Hope Christian Academy is a small private school branched off of the children's home (Hope House). The school has a learning style that can be adaptable to each individuals needs. The lack of teacher does makes it hard to get extracurricular class which is a little frustrating. Hope Christian Academy has a sports program for both Volleyball and Basketball. Unlike many other schools that discriminate based on talent, the schools sports program accepts all players who are willing to put the effort and time into practices and games. This action can be very frustrating because it sometimes makes it hard to practice, play and compete. However this teaches a very good lesson. Hope Christian Academy teachers and coaches communicate that success is an attitude reflected by your character and effort. Losing is ok just as long as you tried your best and give it your hundred percent.
I have been at Hope Christian Academy for 7 years now. While it isn't the top school in Idaho, it has increased my knowledge and desire to learn. The teachers are supportive and always looking to our best interest. The Principal and administration do their jobs to par. The culture is very different but also unique. I am glad that I had the chance to attend this school even if it wasn't my strongest desire.
Hope Christian Academy is a great school. It's very small, but they try the best they can to get us ready for college. We only have a few teachers, so they have to split all of the classes between them and that can get stressful, but they do really well with it.
