I have enjoyed being able to study what I want and choose the classes that will help me succeed in college. Every teacher I have had is always ready to help you and eager to teach you new material. Overall Hoover High School is a really good school.
The best part about this school was all of the different classes we could take before college to see how we liked them. The worst part was covid messing 3 of my years up but I had a great senior year to make up for it. I would like to see Hoover expand the school more because there are so many kids in the halls there.
The art program is amazing, and I have to give a huge shoutout to Mr.Richardson for being a great history teacher, however, I think the school fails when it comes to inclusivity at times and allows much bad behavior to be overlooked. Overall the good outweighs the bad, but there are certainly some issues.
I really enjoyed my time at Hoover High School. For a public school in Alabama, Hoover High School is extremely diverse. There are so many stellar academic and athletic opportunities -- Hoover High School has one of the best football programs in America and both their boys and girls varsity basketball teams won the state championship this past season. Furthermore, there is a plethora of AP classes to choose from, and there is even an IB diploma/courses program there as well. I've made lifelong friends at HHS and am forever grateful for my opportunity studying there.
Hoover High School is in a district with the most diverse opportunities and people. The Hoover district is one of the most diversed areas in Alabama. The majority of the people living in state is black and white; Hoover district is slowly growing to be open for more minority people such as Asians. This school ranges from learning levels of regular classes to AP classes to IB classes. There are many extracurricular activities for the students to enjoy - For example, I did an engineering program, computer science program, band, foreign language, and core classes. Do I recommend for these students to do a full schedule of classes and have constant stress where-or-not you regret taking too many classes, no, but the fact that I was still able to do all these classes shows many interests the school gives their students to try out. Overall, Hoover High School is a great, trustful school that provides a perliforate of opportuinties for students to learn and figure out their intrests.
Hoover offers a diverse range of learning and extracurricular opportunities, which makes it a great option for students with a wide range of interests and skills. Most of the teachers are excellent and really helped further my academic career with their education and recommendations.
I loved my experience at hoover high school because they value a rigorous coursework and have a strong understanding of diversity. I would personally like to see more involvement with counselors as students have trouble getting meetings with counselors cause the school is too big
I absolutely loved my time at Hoover High School and the community as a whole. The teachers and staff were really helpful in providing resources to help us excel and graduate. I learned good writing and communication skills which I’m grateful to carry over into my transition into college this fall . I loved attending our games especially the football games which is always a good way for students to feel connected and excited for the year to come. I wish we had more activities in the second semester to keep us motivated to end the year strong and I hope they can do more of that in the upcoming years. Overall, I loved my experience at Hoover and I wouldn’t have chosen a better place to spend my teenage years. God bless and Go Bucs !
The best part of Hoover High School was mostly RC3, Riverchase Career Connection Center. At RC3 I was a part of the Culinary Program where I was taught how to cook, prepare, and set. I was taught different vocabulary words associated with Culinary.
My experience during my time at Hoover High School has been great! I have met friends that will be lifelong. The teachers have impacted my life in a good way. I will never forget their believing in me and my abilities.
I love Hoover High School. I have grown so much as a student and as a person. I have developed and grown through all our teachers
I enjoy going to Hoover High School. I am involved in cross country and I have been inducted into mu alpha theta as well as the national honor society. I have had pretty good teachers who care about my education for the most part. However, hoover struggles with having good math teachers as many of my friends have had to switch out of classes. There are lots of clubs and organizations so everyone can be involved if they wish to. The population here at hoover is probably too much. The hall and stairwells are always very crowded and sometimes it is hard to get places.
Hoover High School had more opportunities than any other high schools in the area. The school has teachers that a very personalized and cater to every student's needs. However, there is less personalization for independent education tracks because of its large number of students.
Throughout my time at Hoover High School, I have been involved in the choral program and the engineering academy. The choral program is huge: comprised of 8 choirs, 4 being auditioned choirs. I have had the privilege to be a part every single choir I can while being at Hoover and it has really made my high school experience the best it could possibly be. The engineering academy at hoover high school is split between all 4 years and is the best high school engineering program to prepare you for engineering in college. You learn about solid modeling, coding, different categories of engineering, and during your senior year you get to apply all of this knowledge into a capstone project. On top of the engineering academy and the fine arts aspects of Hoover High, I have also been able to easily manage, with the help of my teachers, a 4.33 GPA though taking numerous AP and dual enrollment courses.
I started at Hoover High School my sophomore year. I came to Hoover with a horrible Resumé, now I am graduating with the best Resumé I could ever have. Hoover has taught be so much in the. Hoover has amazing teachers, that take time to help you understand the materials. What really makes Hoover special is the teachers. I have loved being at Hoover because provide students with a great path to success.
There’s some amazing teachers here and we’re blessed to have them. So lucky I got to meet them and experience their class!
I loved that it was a mixture of races and the learning was great but the racism amongst the students was very active and alive. There needs to be more communication and awareness about certain things in that community as a whole because it starts at home. Racism is taught not something you are born with. The experience for me was alright I got the job done and graduated with a wealth of knowledge and experiences that will help me out in the real world.
