I absolutely loved Hoover High School! The faculty and staff were all very friendly and willing to help. The education was superior quality compared to other schools in the area. It is the best school I have ever attended, and I have moved quite a bit. They made sure that we were well-rounded by offering several different clubs and extracurricular activities, and they'd meet while school was in session to ensure that nobody was left out due to inability to stay after school hours, etc. This school is amazing! The diversity level is high, and the are accepting of different cultures. The technology is well kept up to date! They provided us with Ipads and we rarely used anything but the iPads, so we used hardly any paper, which helps the environment by reducing waste.
Review Hoover High School
Hoover High School is a four-year public high school in the Birmingham, Alabama suburb of Hoover. Hoover replaced the former W.A. Berry High School. It is one of two high schools in the Hoover City School System and one of three International Baccalaureate schools in the Birmingham-Hoover Metropolitan Area. School colors are orange, black, and white, and the athletic teams are called the Buccaneers. Hoover competes in AHSAA Class 7A athletics.

Hoover is the largest high school in the state of Alabama, with an enrollment of 2,770 students. It is known for being featured in the MTV reality television series, Two-A-Days.
Hoover honestly was an okay school, they tend to sweep major issues like bullying under the rug, and that is not okay. I really had to work hard at Hoover, but that is not a bad thing--had it not stressed me out so bad. Hoover High School was and is still such a big school with lots of student body- because of this you become a number not an individual, which is discouraging to the ones who need the attention for help but can not seem to get it because they are drowned out by others. Hoover doesn't fund the Art programs at all! every penny raised in funding goes towards the foot ball team, which is not fair at all to both student and teachers. they actually considered removing the majority of the art department, though that did not go over well because of job loss and opportunities that would be taken away from aspiring artist such as my self. I would give HHS a rating of about 5/10 over all...because everything always seems to be half done.
