Very many cultures and self awareness. They are very diverse and have many opportunities available to the kids. Each teacher is interested in their kids learning and involvement. They try and make you keep focus and study hard until you walk the stage. The food is pretty good, lunch is kind of sad but they have vending machines. If you work hard enough you can accomplish a lot with the resources you have around you. Each student is different but is always accepted with opened arms. No child is left behind and no child is forgotten.
It’s alright... pretty average and very low in academics. Great diversity. Teachers don’t expect anything from you really, and a lot of the projects/assignments (or labs if you’re in chem or bio) are super lame and way below high school level. Really nice if you’re a student tho cause it’s easy to graduate lmao. Not the best college prep & counselors are kinda pushy to get you to join AP or honors classes. Oh, and lots of army dudes visit to recruit uneducated, broke high school kids :/
My experience with Hoover High School has been very mixed. Throughout my four years there, I overheard lots of nasty rumor with the students at the school. Although not common, fights occurred from time to time. The classes Hoover had offered me were lacking compared to places such as Central Academy. Hoover doesn't seem to motivate or challenge me hard enough, but when I'm there my life is more relaxed and stress-free. I believe Hoover has some quality points, such as the staff and teachers. My senior year especially, had new staff, who were able to tone the violence down. The counselors and college advisers were able to help me a ton with scheduling and college. If I were to make some changes, it would be to add more classes, such as photography, math, or other courses. I believe a school should emphasize the importance of exploring many career opportunities.
