This is my second year working at Hoosac School. Already, I've come to terms with the fact that this is a place I can see myself spending my entire career at. The overall moral is limitless. Working in admissions, I literally had a family visit to tour campus and leave saying "this is the most welcoming environment we've ever stepped foot on."

Our kids are respectful, enthusiastic learners with a will to succeed. Working here has taught me that you CAN enjoy going to work everyday. I wouldn't feel this way if it weren't for the students and faculty alike!

I went to Hoosac for my last two years of high school. As an international student, living in a dorm with other students and teachers was a new experience for me. The fact that Hoosac only have 110-120 students and the faculty is very friendly made the whole transition a lot easier for me than if I went to another prep school. The campus is just amazing! Especially during fall with all the leaves and the nice weather. The food is pretty good. The staff have an open mind to suggestions and are making sure the students are eating quality. The sport programs are decent. Basketball, Ice Hockey and Lacrosse are the main and most serious of all. The only thing I think they need to change are the text books. Other than that, my two years a Hoosac were great and will always have good memories. Thank you Hoosac!
Hoosac School is an amazing, small school in upstate New York. It has a traditional prep school feel, but it's size allows for a very personalized experience for each student. The dedication that the teachers put forth in the educational process is superior and the growth and learning that takes place outside of the classroom is astonishing. Students have every opportunity for success and the mastery approach to learning means that students master their subject matter out of intellectual curiosity as opposed to simply trying to score well on tests. The home-like atmosphere is married with a sense of wonder on this picturesque campus of 350 acres. Athletic teams routinely make the playoffs and the continued success of the boys hockey team in the prestigious New England Prep School Athletic Counsel has garnered attention. Students at Hoosac can embrace their passions and still experience new pursuits such as music and art.
